Promettevano la vendita di oggetti a prezzi particolarmente vantaggiosi mediante l'accredito delle somme pattuite su carte prepagate.
Ma alla fine la merce agli acquirenti non arrivava mai e per questo cinque persone, residenti in varie parti d'Italia, sono state identificate e denunciate dai carabinieri della Compagnia di Cerreto Sannita.
Di qui l'ennesimo appello dei carabinieri ad affidarsi a siti internet specializzati, verificare l'identità e l'affidabilità dei venditori anche attraverso ricerche sulla rete, accertare l'attendibilità dei siti web.
